i was trying to think of the words to describe this ep and all i could think of was, "damn this is good."

i've decided it's ridiculous for me to keep up with this blog and the myspace and the bandcamp and do all the online and local distro stuff too, so if you want to read a blog... read the myspace one and if you want to download any of the new releases for free... go to the bandcamp and order some physical copies too to help keep our promotions free and at cost for vinyl and cds... every little dollar helps... and you get two free cds or a promo lp and a cd with every five you donate... add two dollars for a vinyl though because the shipping is more and we can't afford the loss if your donation is small or less than five dollars.

thanks for all those that have donated and given us support over the last seven or so years since the first time i took tips at shows to those who donate fifty dollars for the 40 cd sampler boxes and cd bundles... it's all been really nice and has helped me start up again and keep my hope alive for the future of independent artists everywhere

simplified sampler submission guidelines.

hello.

these are the simplified and revised guidelines for sampler song submissions... except for no.6 which was no CMOs... but people rarely get the point so i rambled on.

ok... here they are.

requirements:
1. set up a bandcamp (don't worry, it's free)
2. upload a master copy of a previously unreleased song to bandcamp.
3. mark it for free or pay what you want download.
4. send me a link to the track in a message on myspace.
5. easy as that.
6. oh yeah, i almost forgot... all check me outs will be disregarded... if you'd like me to "check you out", send me a link to a free ep download or something and i'll stop by... streaming poorly encoded songs on the myspace player isn't the real thing, so i rarely bother... i don't care for the image or self-proclaimed hype either - just the music.

if you want to know what i like which is pretty much everything... listen to the old samplers or giv'em a download... if you're trying too hard don't... i'm the last person you want to try and impress... just be yourself.

four samplers will be released for free digital download and possible vinyl pressing.
suggested donation per copy on vinyl will be $5 dollars to cover costs so we can reach a goal of 250 press... if donations become investments when the 250 press goal is passed before six months time a one month until pressing notice will be issued for the initial investors where they can get more for their money by upping donations and a pre-sale will go into effect for those that missed deadline which will go towards shipping an equal amount to the musicians who participated...
